What is your best time of the day? Morning? Afternoon? Evening? Late night?
Most of us have a portion of the day when we are most productive, effective and creative. You should think about this and determine which portion of your day is usually the best for you to do something demanding. You should also determine which portion of a day is the least effective for you to do something demanding. Everyone is different. Example: Some people are morning people, and some are not, etc.
The suggestion in this post is to "segment your day" and plan ahead on when to schedule the most demanding tasks for your day. The converse also applies; know which segment is the worst for you to schedule your most demanding tasks.
This is good in theory, but not always possible. Example: If your best segment is "late evening" and you have an 8:00-5:00 job during the week, you may not be able to consistently segment your day to maximize your abilities, creativity, and effectiveness. Sometimes you may have to have a Plan B or C.
Think about segmenting your day and give it your best shot. This will usually pay you dividends.
